Straddie Island Fruit Barn Sold
One of North Stradbroke Island’s iconic and well known retail businesses, the Island Fruit Barn, has been sold through Ray White Commercial Bayside.
The business at 16 Bingle Road, Dunwich, was sold to Arlanda Rayne and Mandy Butler by Ray White Commercial Bayside business broker Chris Earle on behalf of Sonia Bryant.
Chris Earle said the lifestyle business on the popular tourist island’s main road attracted strong interest from a range of potential purchasers.
“The Island Fruit Barn attracted plenty of interest as it is a business and lifestyle opportunity offering multiple income streams,” he said.
“The business features a retail and wholesale fruit and vegetable outlet and also includes a café delicatessen, catering facility and a nursery.
“There is also a restored two-storey Queenslander which has a three bedroom residence on the first floor and a ground floor office/storage facility.”
Chris Earle said the Island Fruit Barn has been owned and operated by the vendors since 2002 and the new owners intend to maintain its reputation as a popular destination for both locals and visitors.
“The Island Fruit Barn is a meeting place for patrons to enjoy vibrant surroundings and wonderful healthy food and customer service,” he said.
