In late 2021, the Ausbuild Group called on their long and successful association with Ray White Commercial Bayside to assist in searching for a new Redlands-based commercial and industrial development opportunity.  Based on previous discussions with the managing agent of the old Nissan Dealership site in Shore Street West, Cleveland, we were aware that the owners were considering the future of that property following the sale and subsequent relocation of the Nissan business.

After some basic off-market negotiations the property was contracted, subject to elementary investigations with Council regarding the potential redevelopment options for the site.  The experience and in-depth local market knowledge of Ray White Commercial Bayside was further called upon to assist in the due diligence process, with the team tasked with providing detailed intel on the current market, the stock most in need of delivery, and the potential pricing for completed product.

The program was completed in November 2021, with settlement finalised in mid-December 2021.  The Aubuild Group has lodged a Development Application with Council, and we’re hopeful of a construction start towards the end of 2022 which will see a new showroom and industrial warehouse project of circa 7,400m² delivered in mid-2023.

This project will add some much-needed capacity to a heavily undersupplied Redland’s market.
